Pitco Gas Valves
| There are couple style gas valves used in Pitco Fryers. One style gas valve that has been used for years on fryers is a system with a standing pilot and uses a thermocouple that sends a current to the valve to hold the gas valve open. The other style valve uses a milli volt system. Working similar to a thermocouple the thermopile generates more current, enough to operate the main valve too. Basically the thermocouple and thermopile work as a safety, if it doesn't detect a flame at the pilot the gas valve won't open. |
